Hi, we're Cooper and Emily

We've been friends and worked together, on and off, for the last 20 years. We live in separate cities, Pittsburgh, PA and Larchmont, NY, have six kids between us, and over the last three years, we've shared a blog and now this web site.

2005 Launched the Been There Clearinghouse (one of the most personally important, moving things either of us had ever been a part of) in response to Hurricane Katrina, won Best of Blogs Award for Most Inspirational Blog of the Year

2006-2007 Found our calling. After witnessing how women online really are changing the world, joined the MomsRising.org executive committee; became advisors to NewAssignment.net; and took the lead on BlogHers Act, BlogHer.org's year-long project to make a difference on one global cause

And we spent a year and a half building the world's coolest website for mothers, The MotherHood.com.

We're really proud of it and are so glad you're here.
