    • Tésa That stinks that your winner was in the hospital. Hope she's okay.

I'm blaming my delay in responses on BlogHer! :)

    • Tésa Yay! All in now. Form submitted.

  • Tésa Here's my favorite reader submitted tip. A unique idea that seems to be a win-win for everyone:

"When my girls were younger I had outfits set up for the girls in their closet with underwear and socks attached at the top of the hanger in a bag.

They could pick any hanger they wanted to and I wouldn’t worry about what they were wearing. And if they were very insistent on wearing something that I really didn’t approve of, well I would just let them wear it because sometimes it just isn’t worth the fight.

I also let the girls do whatever they wanted to do in the mornings with what freetime they had left after doing what needed to be done. Most mornings they opted for Sponge Bob….but I left it up to them."

  • ConnieFoggles Most of my tips were about preparing the night before, but here's two favorite tips -

Best thing I do in the mornings is get myself up & ready before I go wake up the kids. That way, I can help them get ready too and not all of us at the same time. by Patti

    and

My daughter is not in school yet (and no daycare) so mornings are pretty laid back right now. One way I help it run smoother is by greeting her in a happy and cheerful way every morning…this puts her in a good mood right off the start. It’s hard to be grumpy when Mom is so happy :)
It also helps if I get up first to get some of my morning stuff done, then I am more awake & ready to go! by Kellie

  • Kate One of the best and most thoughtful tips on The Shopping Mama post (http://theshoppingmama.com/2010/07/streamline-your-morning-routine-introducing-eggo-real-fruit-pizzas-with-giveaway/) came from NJJ:

To streamline the morning routine, doing a night prep on everything from clothes, to shoes to lunches, to the next day’s breakfast and dinner does help. It also helps to cut out TV and make getting dressed last after everyone has eaten breakfast and brushed their teeth to cut down on outfit changes Also, do heavy cleaning at night once the kids are in bed so no one is trampling over things or tracking messes throughout the house and throwing a load in at dinner time so you aren’t so rushed on the weekends to get so much laundry done or to find missing outfit pieces or socks.

  • Laurie This was one of my favorite tips for the mornings. MOst tips included getting ready the night before.

    Pamela S says:

I would LOVE to try these. Our school counselor gave the hint of having a “drop spot” where kids keep backpacks, and other things they need to grab in the morning. No looking for things at the last moment and everything knows where to put the items. Thanks.

    • Cooper Oh! I need a drop spot. That is SUCH a great tip! I wonder if they have a basket or a big bin? Thank you for posting this. Love it!

  • ConnieFoggles I wish I had Greta's energy in the morning. She left a comment that said, "A quick workout in the morning gets everything started off right. A morning jog gives me the energy I need to make it to lunch."

  • Jodie Mace Here is my tip for enjoyable, organized mornings:

I always make sure to wake up plenty early so I have time to have a good, wholesome, filling breakfast without feeling rushed.

  • Tammy I was just thinking that the Real Fruit Pizza's would make a great after school snack too...!! My kids are starving when they walk in the front door after a long day at school! This would be a healthy snack before soccer or basketball practice, to tide them over. Thanks Kelloggs!
