Hi! I'm glad to see a breastfeeing group on here. I have been bf'ing my youngest now for 7 months. I was unable to bf my older two, so being able to last this long with my baby is great! I'm loving every single minute of it!

Looking for some help here. I'm really needing to increase my supply. I'm at a loss. I know that P is getting what he needs, but the days that I am at work and need to pump, which I try to do around the time he would eat, I don't get very much. I only get like 2-2 1/2 ounces out of each side. Just looking for suggestions. I know that increasing my water intake will help, but I can only drink so much water. Would drinking like juice or lemonade help? Thanks for the help!!

rkpsmommy - great news! I got all sorts of great info from my Twitter friends! I don't pump so can't be of any help but here is what my friends said: * pump every 2 hrs with baby pic and blankie drink 8 oz water each time take Reglan use hospital grade pump * 2.5 oz. isn't bad. Oatmeal, Mother's Milk tea, fenugreek, lots of water , no dieting! * how old is baby? 5oz total is a lot if baby is small. Baby could be getting twice as much when nursing, pump=ineffective * Try www.breastfeedingonline.com and search for fenugreek, there is a lot of info there. Good luck! * Mother's Milk tea, more pumping, hydration, rest, tincture of fennel anise and fenugreek, Guinness, patience. * fenugreek, water, water, water, relax. * See LC, nurse more, fenugreek, relaxation, increase fluids, call LLL Helpline. Lots to try depending on her situation. Wasn't that so nice of everyone? If you want, join Twitter and follow me BreastfedBabies and soon you'll have lots of new breastfeeding friends too! If you have any questions about Twitter - I'd love to help out. It is confusing at first but as you can see from the above - you can meet a lot of wonderful, helpful women!!! Best, Katrina

Katrina, Thank you so very much for doing that. It was very very nice of you. I definitely saw a pattern with everyone's responses, and that was drink more water and the fenugreek. I plan on giving both of those a try. Thank you again! I hope that you have/had a GREAT Mother's Day!!! Courtney
