Sounds yummy, but if it's not red, my family won't eat it. Maybe I can add all of this into some tomato sauce. I think I have one jar left from canning last fall and I was thinking spaghetti tomorrow or the next day ....

One of the most important kitchen tools to have in your drawer is a knife sharpener! You should sharpen your knives at least once a month with minimum use. If you use certain knives more sharpen more often to maintain the cutting edge. Did you know that more people cut themselves on dull knives than sharp ones? Have a great day :)

There will be 274 Million TV's thrown out because of the analog to digital conversion! Don't do it! Recycle them! They are full of chemicals bad for the earth and contain tons of lead. They are also full of reusable items as well. Contact your city offices to find out more information about recycling :)

I wonder how many municipalities are providing opportunities for recycling and publicizing them?

I took my four and half year old Son and his Grandpa over to Uncle Jim's house and spent Sunday fishing. We caught a ton of Blue Gill. I posted the recipe we use to cook them. Warning! You will eat them all up. Enjoy! http://karenbcookingmadeeasy.blogspot.com

After rubbing your potato's with Olive Oil and Salt, skewer them with a metal BBQ skewer! Place in a 400 degree oven on the rack. The metal skewer helps the potato cook from the inside out as well as the outside in! Cutting your baking time almost in half ;) enjoy! http://karenbcookingmadeeasy.blogspot.com

Store apples in the fridge in a slotted bag NOT on the counter in a bowl. Storing them in a cold place keeps their flavor and crispness! To see more tips check out my Blog ;) Happy Summer! http://karenbcookingmadeeasy.blogspot.com

Pour Vinegar Over Frozen Meat to Speed Defrosting and Tenderize Tips and tricks blog Lifehackery recommends that the next time you thaw frozen meat try pouring a cup or so of vinegar on the frozen flesh—the vinegar will lower the freezing temperature of the meat so it will begin to thaw more quickly and the acid in the vinegar will break down connective tissues that will make the meat more tender. You can always rinse the vinegar off the meat once defrosted, but in some dishes the vinegar may add a nice flavor, such as using an apple cider vinegar on a Bavarian-style pork roast.
