• Random Question of the Day

As my mom used to say, "Curiosity killed the cat--but satisfaction brought it back!" Wonder what everyone else thinks about tofu, or what's on their playlist, or what their biggest fear is? Post a question!

Ever feel like there is a specific song that can express every emotion (could be different songs for different emotions) that you have? Or am I just that much more of a freak than I thought?

She's a really sweet woman, but she's got this sense of humor that is VERY self depreciating and VERY MORBID. It takes a while to warm up to this and understand it's just who she is. Sometimes I find it funny, sometimes I don't. Today we were talking about "how I am doing" and I mentioned that Grandma's remains were picked up and we were going to spread a portion of her ashes this weekend. Without a blink she said "Do you wonder which parts you'll be spreading?" At first I laughed.... because well, I have been using similar humor to cope with her death. (I even went and got a portrait of my grandma tatooed on my shoulder last night- will post pictures later) But then I started really THINKING about it. Does it matter which parts of her go to whom or where? Is there a way to tell by the shade/color of the ashes? Should I have cut a lock of her hair as my aunt suggested? Am I going to end up with her intestines and toenails and my brother will get her heart? I KNOW this is sick..... trust me, I do.... but now ---- I am inclined to think that instead of dividing her up so that she can go to all the places she wanted to go (baseball stadium, Alaska, the TX Gulf Coast, a little with my grandfather, on my aunts rose bushes that came over from Scotland when our family migrated a hundred and some odd years ago, and into a pair of diamond earrings for my daughter)....... Yes, Diamond earrings for my little Audrey~~~~ intestinal earrings.... can't you just picture it? ICK!!!!
