Like its owner, my uterus isn’t good at multitasking, so no multiples here… but there have got to be others!

Sounds like a fun group. Like Becki, I am sure there are others out there, but sadly, not me.

I have multiples. Yes I do…. The twins are 2.5 years old and my oldest is 3.5 years old. All boys. Just now, one is having a wee tantrum in his room, while the other two are spreading ice cream around the back porch (we live in South Africa – it’s summer, thank goodness). I’ve kept a blog for the past 18 months… www.twinutero.org. I’d love to hear from more mothers of multiples. Must go now!

Yeah!! I am so glad that I started the group then. I have twin boys too. They are 20 months and into every thing. Just yesterday they got into a box filled with packing peanuts. I thought, hmm it’s not that hard to clean up. What ever. Never let them play with packing peanuts. It took me an hour to clean up and I am still finding them. Ahhh. But they had so much fun and I took a cute pic. I have been wanting to start a blog, I will check the site. I would title mine today A pulled back and vomit. Gross title, but it has been a long day. Yuck.

Count me in…I have 2 1/2 year old twin boys, too! I think there was a baby boom that year! I also have a 16 month old daughter, as well. I stayed home with my boys during my pregnancy and found out that I was not meant to be a sahm. I returned to work six weeks after having my daughter and now am working & started my own business. Yes, I am insane! I would love to know your thoughts on cards for your twins. I just started my own business creating cards for families with multiples, b/c I could not find anything for my boys to give to others. Have you experienced this challenge or simply not concerned yourself with cards? Thanks for any input.
I look forward to getting to know you ladies.

We received a lot of cards when the twins were born. Most were meant for a single baby but were modified by the sender. We did get a few twin cards. For their birthdays, we either get no cards or two cards, one for each boy. I think more cards for the birth of twins would be great. Cards for birthdays are tricky – most people don’t want to buy 2 cards but one card for 2 kids doesn’t seem right either. I think twin cards have to recognize that twins are individuals – who happen to be born on the same day. Maybe a single card with two openings – so there is a place for personal greeting for each kid, not just a general greeting for both. Just some quick thoughts…. Ali

Thanks, Ali. I agree with your sentiments. When I came up with the idea, originally it was more for me as a mom to be able to buy one card to give from the boys to the birthday kid. Cards are so expensive and by the time you buy a gift from each of the kids, the cards add another $6 + dollars. I had hoped I could find a juvenile card “from both of us” and found nothing. I have left the cards blank, because some people might like to use them as invites. It just allows more versatility. Especially, with mine being identical I have to remind people constantly that they are individuals and should have their “own” anything, not always set as a pair. I really appreciate the feedback. :D
