How did you celebrate Earth Day??

We were originally going to drive to a big celebration an hour away, but it just didn’t make sense to use all that expensive fuel. It is almost $3.50 where we live. So instead we went to the farmer’s market. We bought produce and ate ice cream. We then spent all day out side, because it was beautiful.

We didn’t do much different than normal … we did spend hte afternoon outside though and had a blast. Dh had a meeting for softball nearby and he rode the bike there instead of walking! =) We did read My First Green Book (and got some good experimentation ideas to try later). And I bought a 100% organic cotton shirt to celebrate. We went to the local Jewel and got some free reusable bags for bringing in plastic bags.
We went to an Earth Day party on Saturday so that was our big celebration day.
