So how did everyone spend (or not spend) their tax rebate?
We were able to put some in savings and some towards debt and then, it was gone LOL!

We bought some landscaping bricks to make our front yard look nicer, and the rest is going to pay off Lydia’s hospital stay and into savings.

It makes me worried…sure, I can manage to trim our grocery bill by $25 a week, and I feel proud of that, but one ER visit gobbles up $500 easily, or 40 weeks worth of grocery savings. And we have insurance! But, all the more reason to put money into savings when we can. It has been an expensive month, though.

I’m sorry Becki :-(
It can be rough. And times are becoming hard. Is there a way you can pick up a small side job that would earn a little bit so that you can just throw all that money into savings?

Well, that is the plan. I am actually beginning to look for a law job. Lydia will be in school full time in the fall and she as much as told me that I need to get a job. I will miss being at home all the time, but it will feel good to give my family a little added security.
