  On another site I frequent, moms were asked the most hurtful thing anyone had ever said about their child's autism. I was amazed at the ignorant and/or cruel comments that so many of these moms and kids had to hear--many of them from friends or family members who should know better. That just reminded me how much we still need Autism Awareness Month.

  Autism Awareness Day is today, Becki! Yes, we have all endured "those" comments and have probably grown thicker skins because of them.
