I know that when I do sit down to write, I often produce more than I expected. My problem is actually sitting down to do it. I have trouble making it a priority during the day when I have energy, but when I also have kids asking for attention or other chores that need to get done. At night, when it’s quiet, I’m so exhausted that all I want to do is veg out.
I think I am the kind of person who would benefit from a routine, rather than writing wherever and whenever I can. How do you guys carve out writing time for yourselves, and make yourselves use it?
