About Me
  • I am a mom of two children, a 15 year old with special needs and a 12 year old girl. I ran a non-profit organization for 14 years and now I am trying to start my own business. I looked to other moms to help me pull that off. I believe that every child has the right to play, for it is through play that children learn and development. In order to play, children need carefully designed play environments and programs, appropriate play materials, and trained adult support. I have 15 years experience in the importance of play, inclusion, accessibility, and organizational management. Through my consulting business, Let Kids Play! (www.letkidsplay.com), I provide staff training, manage construction, design play spaces, raise money, and develop programs. I work with architects, playground and toy manufacturers, non-profit organizations, and parents creating new playgrounds, designing children's play spaces, and reviewing and recommending toys.

letkidsplay posted on Forum Discussion Queen of Play & Toys

I have been called the Queen of Play. In my many years of studying and researching children's play, I have come across some wonderful toys and playgrounds. I am an expert in play environments and educational materials for children with and without disabilities. I want to share these jewels with you. Then I want to hear your ideas, comments and thoughts. What is your child's favorite toy? Where are your favorite playgrounds. Don't worry, I'll also share great deals and give aways as I hear about them.
