I think one of the most striking things to come out of Alt Summit each year is collaborations. Over the next year, we'll all see projects, websites, and businesses emerge that came from two creative people meeting in person at Alt Summit.

In fact, as attendees make their plans for the conference, I think it would make sense to come with an open mind toward collaboration.

Someone asked me once why people talked so much about what to wear to Alt Summit, and I told them I think it's because that's how design-y people honor each other -- we pay attention to the details.

That's a great question, Cooper! I imagine ever attendee had a different AHA moment. But for me, it was listening to Ben Silbermann's keynote address, and realizing just how much work and thought went into Pinterest.

The AHA! was just me accepting the fact that really cool things require really hard work.

WHAT IS ALT SUMMIT?

It's an awesome conference for design and lifestyle bloggers. Attendees come to talk shop, share ideas and find people to collaborate with.

Alt Summit's official name is actually Altitude Design Summit. It takes place by the very high Wasatch Mountains, so Altitude and Summit are quite fitting. : )
