As much as parents of kids with allergies prepare - everyone else should cater too. We don't have allergies but I am sensitive to friends not feeling left out if they are. For a playdate it just makes sense to have a safe snack that all can enjoy.

I know many people focus on pre-packaged foods but really having basic ingredients means you know what goes in a meal. Fresh fruit is always safer than a packaged snack.

Since so many events are focused on food, which highlights the differences it would be good to have playdates that focus on other activities

Aww - we could go on. I loved this
Kellogg and Action for Healthy Kids will be with us through LIVE video feed on March 1, 2011, at 11:30 am ET to tell us more about the amazing "Share Your Breakfast" program. Nearly one in four kids in America struggle with hunger. Kellogg is asking people to take a picture of their breakfast and share it at ShareYourBreakfast.com or text a photo of your breakfast (or a description!) using the word "Share" to 21534. When you share your breakfast, Kellogg, through its partnership with Action For Healthy Kids, will share a breakfast with a child who needs it. Please join Trinh Le, senior brand manager at Kellogg, and Dr. Reginald Washington, chair of the board of Action for Healthy Kids, to chat about the program and what they are doing to help share breakfast with children who might otherwise miss out, and to fight childhood hunger in the United States.
