Drop-side crib recalls: We have a drop-side crib we purchased new in 2003. At the time they were all drop-side. We obtained the kit from the manufacturer to make it safe and secure, but I'm still a bit worried. Should we just buy a new crib?

Do you have any tricks or tips for helping babies become good sleepers? I'm due in the Spring with our third and THIS TIME I'd love to start good sleep habits early.

Can't wait for this chat! We're expecting our third and we have had two not-so-hot sleepers. In fact, our six year old and four year old still frequently wake in the night. We're afraid WE started their unhealthy sleep habits when they were babies. So you'd think I was a first-time mom by the number of books on my bedside table. Should we go "babywise" and try and teach him/her sleep independence from the get-go? Should I breastfeed on demand to help bond and show nurturing and security in the night (this is what I've done before, which is usually AWESOME and sweet the first few months...and then a holy nightmare by the time they're one.) Help!
