  • Emily Grown-ups text more but can't catch up to kids

    Adults are now text messaging more than ever. Does this mean it will stop being cool now?

    A study conducted by the Pew Research Center found that 72 percent of adults who use cell phones say they send text messages, up from 65 percent just one year ago. Compare that to teens, though, and they're still behind; 87 percent of teenagers said they text, and they send an average of 50 messages every day. Adults just send 10 paltry texts a day.

    • Brandie 50 is a lot - I believe it when I watch my sisters LOL! ;-) I have text. I think I send about 3 a week! LOL!

    • juliepippert Wow, I don't think I send 10 a day. Today so far is 3 and I bet that's it. One was about birds, and the other two were checking my husband's schedule. I bet teens have more drama filled ones LOL.
