Help build the quilt that makes up the story of The Motherhood
While we're not all the same, we're most definitely woven together by the collective experience of motherhood. By quilting photos and images - and sharing the stories held within them - we can hopefully learn more about each other as individuals and as a community. Quilt your photo patch here, tell a story, and make a friend's day by dedicating your patch to them.

Playing dress up my daughters began when they were toddlers. Nothing is more fun than dressing up with grown-up daughters. One daughter in her wedding dress, two in their senior prom dresses (me! and daughter). We were getting ready to sit down for Easter dinner and looked at each other and KNEW we wanted to play dress-up.
Quilt Patch
I had no intention of ever having kids when I was younger. I was bound and determined to go forth in the world and make my impact providing assistance to those in crises. Then surprise! I found out I was going to have a baby. Eight months later I gave birth to my son. My life was forever changed. Two years later I decided one wasn't enough and I had my daughter.
Even though I'm not out roaming the world, working with impoverished nations, I am making an impact at home. I do it every day with my kids by the example I set. And I know in my heart there's no way I would ever go back.

We went to a playdate at a friend's house and she had one of those horses that moves its head and makes 'neighing' noises. Jacob was scared of it the entire time, until the end when he must have decided that it wouldn't hurt him if he fed it a carrot.
Dedicated to To all moms who've used candy to bribe their kids into obedience

Dedicated to Mothers, trees of life
When I was a little girl I used to look at a book of the famous MOMA photography exhibit "The Family of Man" over and over and over. I LOVED this book. I still have it on my shelf and was thinking about it today as I witnessed the magic that this community represents. There is one photograph in the book that always stuck in my head - this one. And the quote that goes with it, "She is a tree of life to them." For me, that quote is what this site is about in some ways. It is what motherhood, humanity, life is all about. We are trees of life for our children and for each other. (Notice we have a tree as a logo!)
Dedicated to President Barack Obama
As I was preparing to have my election night party, my kids' excitement was reaching fever pitch. My six year old daughter made this and I couldn't agree more: Barack Obama rocks.
