My friend from High School, who was honorably discharged from the Army 4 years ago due to multiple injuries in Afghanistan, is now getting called back into active duty and sent to Iraq. He is deaf in one ear and also permanently injured his knee. Since being discharged he has gone back to get a college degree. He was due to graduate this year but getting called back into service will prevent him from completing his final exams and graduating.1 likes it | report | Tell a friend

My dad received a letter from the military inviting him to re-enlist, I'm guessing because his file indicates that he speaks Arabic. Thing was, at the time he receved the letter, he was eighty-two and had had a leg amputated. At least we were able to get a laugh out of that letter. This story isn't funny, and I can't believe the Army would try to do this to someone who served faithfully and was injured because of it.
