"We benefit from being connected to nature; there is no doubt. The benefits are cognitive, spiritual, mental and physical. And yet, we continue on the path of disconnection. It is this disconnection that allows us to continue to over-consume and pollute without really stopping to think about what we are doing."1 likes it | report | Tell a friend

I really really believe this more and more. And I feel it more in my life. I have always joked with my husband (who used to camp a lot and be out in nature) about how he married a nature-phobic person! But the older I get, the more I discover I LOVE the outdoors. Okay, maybe I don't want to camp outside yet - but hiking, swimming in lakes, being in the woods, the local marsh area, kayaking, etc, etc ... the more I explore the outdoors - the more I love it and want to be in it more and more.
