… the average lawn mower emits as much smog-forming pollution in one hour as eight new cars traveling at 55 miles per hour.1 likes it | report | Tell a friend

I love it! I have always wanted to be the one mowing our lawn (because I'm the one home during the day) but have been afraid of our behemoth gas mower. I would like one of these, and would feel really good about saving all of that pollution. -
I think when the one we have now dies, we'll get one of these. I wish I had looked into sooner, because in the fall we paid to get our mower tuned up and a few things fixed ... for about the price of a a push mower! -
I had the idea to get one of these for Father's Day, with a note saying that *I* will now mow the lawn all summer so my husband doesn't have to! I think that's a great gift. The only thing is, I also had the idea of getting him a hammock and stand, and I think I would enjoy using that more. Nice way to pick out a father's day present, eh? Another factor in favor of the push mower--in a couple of years, my son could use it to start an "earth-friendly" lawn mowing service. He could probably make back the price of the mower in a summer!
