I got these great "collar stays" for his dress shirts. You can choose romantic or suggestive sayings on the stays. Practical yet personal. http://www.signals.com/signals/Item_Secret-Love-Letter-Collar-Stays-Sentimental_HK2266_ps_srm.html

I thought these F Rock Bags were pretty cool for guys--but probably more my brother than my husband. http://www.frockbags.com/

Mine has a specific list. With link to where to buy! But without it he's almost impossible to shop for. So I guess it's good, but man, it takes some of the fun out of shopping for me LOL!

I keep reminding my husband to put *something* on his Amazon wish list. He's impossible, other than a few small things to make his business travel easier. I'm thinking a small luggage scale from REI and a Grid-It to organize cords and electronic accessories in his bag.

My husband is getting Transformers cufflinks off Etsy and a custom DVD from Adult Swim (http://www.coolmomtech.com/2010/11/adult_swim_dvd.php), which means I won't get woken up by the loud episodes of Venture Bros. My dad's getting a personalized money clip from Etsy, http://www.etsy.com/listing/62761376 . I can't wait!

We always decide on a joint gift that we get for each other. This year we are getting cast iron skillets.

My husband is sort of disorganized, so I got him a "pocket briefcase" from Levenger.com. He's constantly taking notes on-the-go on the phone and then scattering them everywhere , so I'm hoping this will help him be less cluttered!

I had one of these made - my oldest drew a pic of all my kids: http://www.coolmompicks.com/2009/06/key_to_an_awesome_fathers_day.php I've gotten him techie stuff, but he's not home a lot, so if it takes him too long to set up, he doesn't even use it!

My daughter made my husband a little sticker mosaic. He much prefers the little things than a big gift

How about some active playground equipment that can be used indoors or out like Little Tykes. Maybe a plastic seesaw or rocking horse?

Maybe it's not the most erudite thing, but my active boy loves this hopper toy, and he uses it in lots of interesting ways. http://www.coolmompicks.com/2010/11/the_tip-top_dippy_dop_hippity.php Great for those trapped-inside days!

Blocks and building sets are great. Try to go with creative toys that can be used in many different ways over a number of years.

What about a nice Waldorf doll for him? Plus, maybe it will help when baby number 2 arrives?

There is a cute game by Clementoni called House Hunt! that has little ones searching the house, or room, for things listed on a card---good way to practice color identification or how to follow directions---and it can be as active or sedentary as your situation requires.

Oh, I think a 22 month old could play with blocks ... well we always had blocks around by that age! Although, we had the standard square blocks maybe those are easier for kids that age? But I love blocks because they'll keep playing with them as they age (ahem, even my 11 year old still plays with them occasionally! LOL!) and if you can start small and add on some more each year. I like these citiblocs because they are smaller and lighter, stack a lot nicer, and should your 2 year go through a throwing age, they look to be less dangerous than the square blocks (which all of my kids had hit their heads at least once. Sigh.) Anyway, will keep thinking of ideas for you =)

I'm a huge fan of Plan Toys, which are sustainably made wooden toys. Their website lets you look by age and they have lots of toddler options---but I'm now in love with their dollhouses for my 3 year old. http://www.plantoys.com/products.php

    • I'm trying to find a great gift for my active toddler - not electronics since we have a lot of that, something educational, yet active - is this asking too much? Here's the munchkin... To give you an idea :)
