Grilled cheese with american cheese, challah bread, and cooked with butter. None of the reduced fat cheese and cooking spray I would normally use..

Yummm ... cheesecake. Not sure I'd go for fried cheesecake myself, but regular cheesecake. I could eat that after every single meal!!

Orzo is one of my absolutely favorite ingredients to use for salads. In fact there is an AMAZING Herbed Orzo Tomato Salad recipe right here: http://tlc.discovery.com/videos/cooking-with-george-duran-hunts-george-duran-orzo-and-tomato-salad.html BUT feel free to check out all of my other amazing salad recipes in my cookbook at http://www.georgeduran.com

My kids call it 'special rice'. I have tried to find a whole grain or whole wheat version and found I can only order it via gourmet store in town

That recipe with feta sounds amazing.

I love orzo for pasta salad recipes. Makes for a unique look.

      Kate Selner

Yes Emily.... I've made a variation with those ingredients as well. Very good that way too.

      Kate Selner

It can be both hot or cold. I've eaten it both ways and it's always delicious. Add some basalmic and olive oil to dress.

      Emily

My girls also love it just with pesto. Super easy.

      Brandie

Sounds yum!! Why have I never cooked orzo before? LOL!

      Emily

Ooohhhh, Kate, that sounds great! A version that we do in our house is to add pine nuts, feta cheese, chopped scallions and olive and lemon (olives too if you want).

      Diane Campagna

Kate, do you eat that hot or as a cold salad?

      Kate Selner

I love orzo mixed with cooked spinach, feta, diced tomato and yellow pepper. Kind of a Mediterranean style pasta dish. Very flavorful

    • We cooked with orzo for the first time a few weeks ago. My kids loved it! But I only have the one recipe. Any orzo recipes in your book?
