MeganM that is so great to know and makes them the No. 1 choice for me then. That's one thing about German products I can get here that I love -- I can always count on the best ingredients in them because things in Germany are just in general made more healthy/nutritional. Not having grown up with it, I can not stand food coloring.

I'd love to know how the pizzas made for Europe differ from those made for the US? Do we have different tastes that you adapt to?

    • For those of you who aren't familiar with Dr. Oetker, we are a family-owned company headquartered in Germany. We were founded in 1891... . Dr. Oetker is actually the No1. frozen pizza brand in Italy but we also sell to more than 30 other countries. And now we've come to the US!!!

we love desserts in the family room once the kids are in bed. Its our time to chat. We also do a lot of wine and cheese nights for the 2 of us. But, really, its so much easier in summer when we have the deck and candles.

Great ideas, Emily! I might have to 'surprise' the hubby with a picnic in the Summer House... ;)

I have to say, we haven't tried anything romantic in a while but when the kids have dual sleepovers, I have to say, it definitely makes it easier to create a mood that's not interrupted by the phrase "Mom, can you please bring me my dessert?"

I have a hard time getting into a romantic mood when i'm cleaning up the kitchen or can see what else needs to be done...like vacuuming or putting away toys. I think that's why we try to get out of the house.

Our recent routine is that he texts me from work to find something for us to watch on Netflix Instant. We order in (so I can skip the kitchen for the evening) and enjoy ourselves.

my husband loves to play video games when he's decompressing. sometimes i'll play a game with him (an easy one like mariokart - no medal of honor for me!) he thinks its hilarious and its fun to do something with him!

A friend was just telling me that sometimes they choose a different room in the house for dinner - so setting up a picnic on the coffee table with candleight, or using the dining room (which they rarely use), or even just turning off all the kitchen lights and eating only by candlelight (and hiding the kitchen mess).

With four kids it's hard to plan something romantic, so we will celebrate as a family with a nice dinner and dessert.

If I'm feeling generous, I allow my husband the "night off" from cooking, cleaning and bathtime...the normal routine. We do that for each other every once in a while.
