Hi everyone! WE ARE SO EXCITED! Welcome to TheMotherhood's very first live video feed and text chat!
To see the video, make sure you hit "play" on the video player above, just as you would to watch a YouTube video. If you can't hear the audio, make sure your computer is not on mute and your volume is turned up. If you can't see it, try refreshing the page. We will get started in just a few minutes!
As Trinh Le and Dr. Washington are talking, you can type comments and questions in real time down here in the text chat section.

As Dr. Washington just said, eating a nutritious breakfast is critical to a child’s ability to learn in school. A study at Ogilvie Elementary School shows rising test scores after instituting a daily guarantee of Breakfast in the Classroom. How amazing is that?! As Trinh just said:
Share Your Breakfast runs from January 20 to July 31, 2011, and provides people with multiple ways to get involved. Each time you share a photo or description of your breakfast, Kellogg will donate the monetary equivalent of school breakfasts to Action for Healthy Kids. $1 donated = 5 school breakfasts shared through the grants distributed by Action for Healthy Kids.
Online: Upload a photo or a description of your breakfast at ShareYourBreakfast.com.
Mobile: Text the word SHARE with a photo or description of your breakfast to 21534.about 1 year ago

According to national statistics, 50 million adults and 17 million children are living in food insecure households. Shockingly, that means 23 percent of children in this country are impacted by hunger! And of those kids, a staggering number simply are not getting the food and proper nutrition they need to grow and do well in school.
