At The Motherhood, one thing that’s near and dear to our hearts is our beloved pets. We all have “fur babies” who are an important part of our families!
For our own pets and animals everywhere, when Sergeant’s Pet Care Products approached us with an opportunity to help animal shelters across the country during Responsible Pet Owners Month, we jumped at the opportunity.

The Sergeant’s emBARK on Pet Health program asked pet owners everywhere to take an online pledge, which triggered the donation of a Sergeant’s Pet Health Kit – filled with important, useful items like pet shampoo and dental kits – to participating animal shelters across the country. The Motherhood partnered with an amazing team of animal-loving bloggers to spread the word about the pledge and share their own experiences at local shelters.
Staci of November Sunflower reported, “I’m so thankful that The Motherhood, Sergeant’s and emBARK are providing me with the chance to share this amazing emBARK on Pet Health Program with everyone.” She also appreciated the fact that “a shelter benefiting from the program [is] close enough for me to volunteer at with the kids.”
Shasta of Faithfully Free was so excited to share the pledge that she started talking about adopting a pet of her own:
“I love animals, and can’t wait until I can adopt my own furbaby (hopefully sometime in the next few months). I also love brands that give back to the community, and that is exactly what Sergeant’s is doing right now.”
One mom, Cate of Sweetnicks, even took the program to the next level by hosting her daughter’s birthday party at her local shelter. Her daughter’s love of animals made it the perfect place to make memories and raise awareness of the emBARK on Pet Health program at the same time.
