While many kids are preparing to head back to the classroom and hand-picking their favorite school supplies, that’s not a reality for many children in communities across the nation. Kids need quality supplies in order to thrive both academically & creatively, yet many children lack the basic resources needed to learn in the classroom.
Knowing the need for these basic resources is a reality in classrooms across the nation, The Motherhood teamed up with Champions for Kids for the Elmer’s Let’s Bond program. The dedicated team of bloggers drove immense awareness of this timely issue through the #BagItForward program, making an impact in their local communities & encouraging their readers to do the same.
Check out some of the great work done by our blogger team in their local communities:
Jill of Popsicle Blog included her three boys in the effort & visited their local Walmart to pick out school supplies that they later donated to Helping Hands OC and Girls, Inc.
Summer of Summer’s Scraps decided to use her annual summer party as an opportunity to give back. She asked her guests to bring school supplies that could be donated to a local school in her community. As her guests arrived, so did more and more school supplies!
Jessica of Begin to Craft hosted a donation drive and included eight of her close friends, all of which donated school & crafting supplies. With all of the donations, Jessica was able to donate to both a local preschool & elementary school.
