The Motherhood is one of Pittsburgh’s Coolest Offices

We’re excited to share that our headquarters has been named one of Pittsburgh’s Coolest Offices! Throughout the month of September, the Pittsburgh Business Times is showcasing the most interesting and inspiring office spaces in the Pittsburgh region.

Our new headquarters is located in Sharpsburg’s old Fort Pitt Brewing Co. building. In the early 1900s, this brewery was the leader in the local beer market. The motto, “Fort Pitt, That’s It!” is still displayed on the building’s exterior, as well as in the original terrazzo floor in the front lobby.

The freshly painted red, blue and grey walls of the renovated space match our company’s fun, bright and creative personality. Each team member’s office showcases a unique piece of art that was painted freehand by Stretch Carter, art director.

We love working in a space with such a rich history and fun quirks in the nooks and crannies of this very unique building.

2015 is an incredible year for The Motherhood! In addition to the designation of one of Pittsburgh’s Coolest Offices, The Pittsburgh Business Times also recently named one of Pittsburgh’s fastest-growing companies! The Motherhood is the second-fastest-growing marketing company, ranked #41 overall and one of just two companies in the top 50 with 10 or fewer employees.

Last week, The Motherhood team announced the launch of The Motherhood Selects (#TMSelects), our first-ever program that spotlights beloved brands and products that our team internally nominates for recognition.

The Motherhood Selects: S’well Bottle

If you’ve been following along this week, you know that The Motherhood launched The Motherhood Selects (#TMSelects) just days ago, an exclusive program that features products that The Motherhood team personally loves and uses. You can read all about it in Monday’s blog post.

The #TMSelects package that was recently shared with some of our network’s top influencers included four products, one of which was the S’well Bottle, a unique stainless steel bottle that can hold both hot and cold liquids.

One of The Motherhood’s co-founders, Emily McKhann, was the first to fall in love with this uniquely designed bottle, which she later introduced to the entire team when she gifted each of us with the IVY S’well bottle (from the Glitter Collection) which matched up with The Motherhood’s color scheme oh-so-s’well!

It wasn’t long before each of us also fell in love with the mission behind the bottle — to reduce the number of plastic water bottles used every day. Additionally, S’well puts community and charity at the forefront, contributing to several charitable organizations on a regular basis.

The stainless steel bottles have such a unique design, they’re easy to spot, whether it’s in the office, in the city or on the hiking trails.

While some of us use it as our go-to water bottle for the gym and hiking, others opt to load it up with hot coffee in the morning for our commutes. The Motherhood Selects: Wild Explorers moccasins

On Monday, The Motherhood launched The Motherhood Selects (#TMSelects), an exclusive program that features products The Motherhood team members personally love and use. You can read all about the announcement and get the details on the program from Monday’s blog post.

The #TMSelects package several of our influencers received this week included a few of our can’t-live-without products — items many of us at The Motherhood use (and love!) on a daily basis, as well as those unmistakable brands and goods we love to the core and recommend to our closest friends and family. One of the brands we adore, specifically those of us with kiddos or kiddos on the way, is Wild Explorers.

Brittnee had watched founder Hannah Allen birth her dream by turning her incredible design and craftsmanship into a thriving, online small business, Wild Explorers, which boasts dozens of hand-crafted moccasins for kids.

The soft-soled shoes are made with quality leather and are so soft to touch, it’s almost unbelievable (and to be honest, makes us wish we had an adult-sized pair of our own!).

The Motherhood Selects: LÄRABAR

Throughout this week, The Motherhood is sharing details on products our team loves and uses as part of our first The Motherhood Selects program, where a select group of bloggers receives a #TMSelects package containing four favorite products as chosen by our team. You can read more about the new program in Monday’s blog post.

One of the brands chosen for the first #TMSelects package was LÄRABAR, the Original Fruit & Nut Bars, and we included an assortment of flavors for the recipients to sample.

When The Motherhood team member Nicole began following a gluten-free diet, she purchased different snack bars from the grocery store to try every week. She recently discovered that a few other members of The Motherhood are LÄRABAR fans, which is why we just had to include the brand in this line-up of our favorite products.

The Motherhood introduced The Motherhood Selects Program (#TMSelects) yesterday, an exclusive program featuring products that The Motherhood team members personally love and use. Through this program, The Motherhood will share a few of our favorite things with a select group of influential bloggers during special moments throughout the year.

It’s all about sharing our love for brands, products and services we can’t get enough of, and passing that love along to fantastic bloggers in our network!

The #TMSelects package each blogger has received contains four products selected by folks on our team. One that was a crowd favorite, with a simultaneous nomination from many of us, was EOS lip balm!

We all noticed our mutual love for the uniquely packaged lip balm when we looked around on a Monday morning during our team meeting and noticed so many of us had carried our lip balm into the meeting and plopped it onto the table next to our coffee mugs, notebooks and cell phones. Immediately, we laughed and started talking about our obsession over the lip balm and each of our favorite flavors.
